My Experience with a Charity Car Donation Event

Recently, Washington DC has benefited from quite a large number of people who have become involved in auto donations. Iwas unaware of this until I had my own run down car to deal with. Not knowing the best way to dispose of it, I fell to looking at the usual possibilities. Trade-ins, selling your own car and scrap yards are perhaps the most frequent forms of getting rid of unused vehicles, but I was keen to do something else. Trade-ins didn t provide a good alternative because it doesn t pay much. It rarely is worth the trouble involved. Junk yards appear to be counter-productive because they accept cars that still have useable parts and destroy them. That didn t seem very useful to me at all. Selling my own car wasn t an option because I had many obligations and I rarely have time to sleep, eat and breathe; still less attempt to sell my old car! That clearly was not an option for me.
